Professional Memberships
AOTA
I've been a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association since 2013. I particularly enjoy the access to the most credible and outstanding research available to me through the "American Journal of Occupational Therapy. While being client-centered, its also important to use evidence-based practice.
MIOTA
Although I've just joined the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association in 2015, I look forward to incorporating the organization into an upcoming adovocacy project.
SOTA
I joined SOTA while I was still an undergraduate student, and enjoyed a leadership role as I prepared to enter the Master's program. SOTA is a great way to increase Occupational Therapy's visability on campus, as well as in the community.
Michigan Sports Unlimited
I've enjoyed working with MiSU as a volunteer since 2013, and currently as the adaptive sports coordinator. "Access to recreation without limitations" is MiSU's mission. I can't think of a better organization that helps people to participate in one of Occupational Therapy's central areas of occupation - leisure.
