Volunteer Services

Raising Awareness SOTA is a great way to help out in the community and raise awareness for many of society's needs. Working as a team on anything is one of my favorite things to do!	ACOTE Accreditation I was selected by my professors to represent our OT program in front of the accreditation council. We showed well and the school received high marks! Volunteering my time was a small price to pay in order to acquire the accreditation SVSU deserves.	Relay For Life As a co-captain, I helped SVSU's SOTA team raise more money than in any other previous year!
Loon 'Lympics Time! I love volunteering with the Great Lakes Loons to produce the Loon 'Lympics! There were several different activities to compete in, and its always refreshing to see kids having fun.	Cookies for a Cure We stayed up late into the night making cookies and preparing hot chocolate to help raise money for Relay for Life. I created the event and enjoyed many compliments on our cookie recipe!	Motorcycle Raffle Much of my past summer was spent selling raffle tickets to help raise money for athletes with disabilities
Alzheimer's Walk Alzheimer's Disease is an epidemic we are all too familiar with. I helped gain signatures in order to send a petition to the state legislators to increase funding for Alzheimer's research.
